Collaborating on the development of a nationally consistent and openly accessible spatial data concerning roads on federal agency managed lands for use in mapping, emergency management, planning, resource allocation, land management, recreation, and other uses. The Federal Lands Roads Working Group is under the FGDC Geospatial Transportation Subcommittee.

Scope

  1. Facilitate partnerships and coordinating efforts
  2. Encourage adoption of common standards and specifications
  3. Enable more accurate and integrated geospatial road data on federal lands
  4. Enable easy access to the data by all stakeholders
  5. Engender greater understanding of these road networks by partners and users
  6. Enable problem identification, evaluation, and resolution
  7. Identify and promote best practices

Federal Lands Roads Working Group was formed in April 2018. All who are willing to assist inĀ fulfilling the mission of the Working Group are invited to join.
