Key Resources Available Through the GMO

Geospatial Information Infrastructure (GII)

The GII provides a shared Sensitive But Unclassified (SBU) platform for users to access trusted geospatial data, map services, and geospatial applications. The GII is available to all DHS headquarters and component partners and many others within the homeland security enterprise. All applications on the GII require users to have a Homeland Security Information Network (HSIN) account as a two-factor authentification system for tightened security.

Homeland Infrastructure Foundation Level Data (HIFLD)

Protecting the homeland requires a unified effort and common understanding among Federal, State, Local, Tribal and Territorial stakeholders. The HIFLD Program is a collaborative effort responsible for providing common geospatial data of the highest possible quality and currency to planners, managers and responders throughout the Homeland Security Enterprise.

Geospatial Concept of Operations (GeoCONOPS)

Geospatial capabilities are a critical resource in homeland security missions and national preparedness. DHS established the Homeland Security Enterprise (HSE) GeoCONOPS to document how geospatial resources, across all levels of government, improve the community’s ability and capacity to utilize geospatial data, capabilities, and products.
